Local Scholarships

Some of the scholarships listed below will direct you to use the

Oak Harbor High School General Application.  Scholarships that indicate to submit to the Counseling Center can be submitted starting February 1, 2024.  Each scholarship needs to be submitted separately.  The application will be given to the donors for the selection process.

Oak Harbor Educational Foundation

Scholarships
OHEF’s main goal and function over the years has been to give scholarships to Oak Harbor students. They have given close to $1,000,000 in scholarships since our founding in 1992, and almost $500,000 since 2013.

Association of Old Crows Whidbey Roost Scholarship

Amount: $1,500 (may be eligible for renewal up to 3 additional years)

Criteria: Senior; pursuing 4-year degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics)

Island County Chiefs Association

Amount: $300 (2)

Criteria: Senior; preference given to students pursuing fire service, emergency medicine, or other healthcare

Knights of Columbus: John E. O'Brien Scholarship

Amount: $1,500

    Criteria: Senior: practicing Catholic; Include resume on why applying and plans for after high school, community involvement; dedication and commitment, 3 letters of recommendation from teacher/pastor, Must have SAT or ACT scores, See complete criteria

Knights of Columbus: John E. O'Brien CRE Don Goodwin Scholarship

Amount: $3,000

    Criteria: Senior: practicing Catholic; Pursuing Engineering Degree, Include resume on why applying and plans for after high school, community involvement; dedication and commitment, 3 letters of recommendation from teacher/pastor. See complete criteria

Amount: $500

Amount: $2,000

Criteria: Senior; substantial community service; goals with positive impact on community

Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce Business

Amount: $1,000 (2)

Criteria: OHHS Senior; 3.2 GPA, preferred business major but not required, involved in community, extracurricular activities
