Peter Woodard is recognized as the Employee Star of the Year by Oak Harbor Public Schools.
We are proud to honor Employee of the Year for Academic Excellence, Peter Woodard. As the Title/LAP teacher at Oak Harbor Elementary School, Peter is a rare educator who balances analytical precision with profound empathy. He doesn't just monitor data, he breathes life into it by analyzing key details to ensure no student falls through the cracks.

What truly sets Peter apart is the heart he brings to his work. Whether he’s sharing a laugh, remembering the small details that matter, or checking in on a student who needs extra support, he creates a culture where everyone feels valued. He is a master of his craft and a true champion of our Core Value of Academic Excellence!
Jana Jansen is recognized as the Employee Star of the Year, holding a star award with a group of students.
Jana Jansen is being recognized for our Employee of the Year award for exemplifying the Core Value of Collaboration. Jana is the Yearbook, graphic design and photography teacher in the Oak Harbor High School Career Technical Education (CTE) department.

Jana is the kind of educator who makes an entire school community stronger. Her impact expands well beyond her own classes. She consistently brings people together by supporting colleagues with art shows, AP submissions, and contests, while also leading major efforts like yearbook, SkillsUSA, and student leadership. Her students also create most of the content featured on the school's social media channels to help share stories about the important work being done at Oak Harbor High School for students. Jana freely shares her time, talents, and organizational expertise to elevate the work of others, often shining a spotlight on fellow teachers and students beyond her own program.
