Join us for "Passport to Your Future" on Tuesday, February 4th at 6 PM in the OHHS SUB. This informative session is designed to provide insights into graduation requirements, future classes, and registration processes at OHHS for enrolling in the 2025-2026 school year. Don't miss this opportunity to prepare for your high school educational journey!

January 22 - Annual Next Steps

Grade 11

Juniors, it is time to start thinking about life after high school! On Wednesday, January 22nd during 5th period you will have the opportunity to attend one of five different presentations. After reading the descriptions of each presentation, you will select the one you would like to attend. YOU MUST ATTEND A PRESENTATION, SO REVIEW YOUR OPTIONS AND CHOOSE CAREFULLY.   Link to More Details and Signup 

January 22 - College Credit Options Night

Grade 9,10,11

OHHS SUB 6:00PM  Presentations on ways to earn college credit while in High School: 

• Running Start

• Dual Credit CTE

• Advanced Placement (AP) 

• College in The High School (CWU). 

February 5 - ASVAB OHHS Library Check in 8:00 AM

Grades 10, 11, 12

ASVAB - Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Exam is used for entrance into the military.  The ASVAB Career Exploration Program includes a validated aptitude test and interest assessment. The results are used to guide career exploration using our career planning tools..  Sign Up Here.  Prepare for the test by taking the  ASVAB practice Test

The ASVAB is delivered digitally.  Students must bring their Chromebook fully charged. 

*This is an optional test. Some students may use it as a graduation pathway. Check with your counselor if you have questions about your graduation pathway.

Financial Aid: If you plan to attend college or trade school during the 2025-26 school year, you will want to complete the FAFSA or WASFA beginning December 1, 2024. Some schools and scholarship opportunities require that Financial Aid is submitted to be eligible for scholarships.  Steps to do Now:   Create your FAFSA FSA ID or WASFA account Create a FAFSA FSA ID on the Federal Student Aid website. Most people should complete the FAFSA to maximize financial aid.  Create a WASFA account on the Washington Student Achievement Council website if you are ineligible to use FAFSA. Remember your login information. Financial Aid Help:  Monday, January 27 5:30-7:00 pm at Oak Harbor Public Library Get help creating your FSA IDs or completing financial aid forms, including the FAFSA or WASFA. Course Selection for 2025-2026 School Year

Registration for courses for the 2025-2026 School Year will take place during the week of January 27th - 31st, 2025.

During this week, students will have the opportunity to review and select their courses for the upcoming academic year.

• Course Catalogs: Course catalogs will be made available online by Friday, January 24th.

• Graduation Requirements: Students will receive a copy of their latest transcript as well as their graduation requirements on Monday, January 27th during Advisory.

• Parent/Guardian Involvement: We encourage parents/guardians to actively participate in the course selection process by reviewing course descriptions and graduation requirements with their children and discussing their academic goals.
